I was wondering what would be the best settings for this machine. I want to retain some ammount of graphic detail but I dont want to be slow

Pentium(R) D CPU 2.80GHz, 1 Gig of RAM and I m pretty sure the vid card is NVIDIA 7200 SE

Umm probably low to medium mate. Try them both and see what sort of fps you get.
Try this, http://www.systemrequirementslab.com. Might help.

also click on the optimal settings button in game and then just slowly push the graphics up until you see a performance hit
