I haven't seen many posts about tv guiding mainly because most n00bs who get in a chopper go in alone, or have no knowledge of what a TV guided missile is or how to use it. Anybody notice that sometimes the TV guides don't deploy? It's so fucking annoying. YOu are in the middle of an intense fight with another chopper, gunner shoots his missile and you can hear it go off, but no tv guide is to be found. And also sometimes the TV guide goes off but you can't maneuver it. And sometimes the TV guide goes right through what you are aiming at. And now EA wants to shorten the range of TV guides??? I'm by no means a good gunner but when I go in the gunner seat every once in a while I'd like it to go smoothly.
Agreed. It just freezes for awhile, shows no ammo loss, and begins reloading. What's up with this man.

You can shoot TV missile without gunner too.. Just pres F2 and shoot it. But that's not what you are talking about in this topic. Yes I know that reload bug. It's same with another guns too. It's so annoying when you are ready to shoot enemy with TV (especially when flying alone, because mostly there's no second change) and then it's not deployed. That steering bug is damn annoying too and again especially when flying alone. But then TV missile is going trough target it's not bug, it's just because server lag (even you can't see it, there is some lag sometimes which enough for that TV missile go trough target).
EDIT: By the way, you are talking about noobs, but you are used chopper 14 hrs and killed 399 with it and died 256 times with it which mean K/D Ratio 1.56 with chopper. When I'm looking at your stats it looks like you are one of those noobs (not for bad, but it looks like that)

I agree on the part where you cant control the flight path of the missle, its freaking insane.
It's a glitch where sometimes the tv guided missile doesn't move when you move it. It only happens once in a while but when it does happen its noticeable.[DARE] ksack wrote:

i agree it does happen. When its working properly, it rocks. one shot to blow a tank or anything thats moving.
i once blew up a flying jet with it. Also, you can control it. not much, though, but u can.

Wow i posted a topic on this dude and i feel you. the goddamn thing sometimes double reloads, it shoots but u cant guide it (the missile shoots but your screen doesnt trail missile) and it goes through the target on your screen but no kill. and im no noob when it comes to choppers whether it be flying or gunning.
the key is to have a great flyer that steadies the chopper and then keep clicking the mouse towards your target. I've found alot of times when I am the gunner in the choppers the pilot is going way to fast or down the middle so where you can't shoot anyway. I don't fly alot or in a plane but these are some things I've noticed, maybe I am not meant for the air.
