I like IceMats mousepad. It is hard and smooth and only for laser mice. I like the logitech gaming mouse

i have a G5 and it recomened using something like laminate flooring for ultimate percision so i hage a HUGE mouse mat about 6Mx9M and it rox
Good mousepad is a must for gaming.
But if you can't afford a good pad (which is only about $15 anyways) you should get some sort of mousepad at least.

I'll have to try that laminate flooring thing. Even easier and cheaper. Wonder about a small piece of speckeled marble tile. There'd have to be more than enough distinct visual references on it to work. I've used the desktop for the old M$ Wireless Optical Mouse. And it seemed to work fine. As the wood had striations and specks in the pattern. I guess I'll try a few things and see.

I have the ultimate mousepad... My desk, no point in having a mousepad with some random wired wireless mouse with no ball (Optical i think)
I have a mouspad because my mouse can't track my cosco picnic table that I use as a desk. I suppose that it's too shiny or its grain is too repetative.

I use a placemat with my gargantuan Monster-Gecko Pistolmouse.
Logitech G5 with an Allsop MetalArt mousepad...... Nice CHeap Gaming pad. CHeck em out.
