I compliment the Patriots fans who were fans from before 2001. I really do. You stuck by your team since the beginning and it paid off.

But the majority of fans (like Eugefunk84 probably is) of the Patriots are BANDWAGON fans. Same with the Red Sox. Both are teams that sucked for many years and the fans slowly crawled away. Then the Sox won in '04 and they all crawl back. The Pats win in '01 (I was actually rooting for them, considering it was the year of 9/11 and I met Adam Vinatieri 5 days after the win at Disney World) was a good one, but it just drew bandwagon fans.
