Just got this on Saturday. Cost me €50 with a 2 year contract here in Austria. Only free SEs I could've gotten were the W200i or the T250i. K550i FTMFW. It's so thin and the camera is so kickass. Crisp and clear screen and it has Bluetooth (the other two didn't have that, I mean, wtf is that shit?). Never really used Bluetooth on my phones back in the USA, but I used the crap out of it to transfer stuff from my old T610 and photos and stuff between my girlfriend's K750i.

You should've gone for a Samsung D900i. It's slimmer, got a 3mp camera, bluetooth too, bigger screen (allowing you to watch recorded videos in full screen), very good video recording quality that's better than most SEs (including yours unfortunately) and the price is falling all the time. Only 115 Euros unlocked - which is a very good price for a feature packed phone, especially when you compare it to the latest phones. Your SE K550i is a good phone but the Samsung D900i is even better.

Thanks for all the props, guys. Hopefully this phone will stay as cool as it has so far. The little buttons on the face are weird at first, but after about 10 minutes of playing with it, it felt totally natural.

That Samsung is not even offered by my carrier. Perhaps through one of the other German carriers, but I have the biggest one here in Austria and they don't even carry it.

Samsung is nice, for the most part. But I prefer LG and SE. I wish I had my LG that I had back in the States. But it was CDMA and not GSM, so no-go in Europe.

Plus, I couldn't afford anything more than the €50 and I don't need such a feature-packed phone. I don't have the necessity for taking videos and if I wanted to watch a video, just turn on my iPod and play one of my MANY movies from it.

I'm a Sony fanboy, I'll admit it. The only phones I ever like are the Sony Ericsson ones (the Walkman series, to be specific, who needs a fucking iPod?). I might get the w910i, but I don't really like its style that much. Bit expensive too, you'd have to get a crazy contract to get one'na those for free.

Also, I'm gonna get a PS3 instead of upgrading my computer. I'm sick of PC gaming. It's all patch patch, shitty performance, patch patch and hackers and random crap happening. I'll probably end up using my PS3 for everything (including BF2s) tbh. All that for ~£300 - I'll take one.

I was gonna get an Xbox, but I don't like paying subscriptions. Also, I love my MGS and Gran Turismo. I grew up with Gran Turismo. It was the older brother I never had *sniffs*

Dude, you need to actually try out a good iPod Video/Classic. Take one with you on a plane flight and make use of the batterie life extender from Belkin and the video capability ... then you'll realise why the iPod kicks so much ass. Plus, with cell phones, the best you can do is about 8GB. iPod Video did 30GB at the least, and the new Classic is 80GB at the least.

8GB is way more than I need for songs. I got a 2GB card in my phone right now, does the trick on the god awfully boring trains everyday. Everyone has different needs I suppose. I just like the fact that my camera, mp3 player and phone is all one piece of plastic. Also the mp3 player is more friendly than the iPod one, all you do is drag and drop the tunes you want from your computer. Also, bluetooth for sharing.

jord, that's because it's in your cache still.

Mek -- try using the smart playlists and the playlists in general on iTunes. No drag and drop and you can order songs in the playlist as you want, doesn't have to be alphabetical. One thing I wish I could do on the iPod is have a switch on the "Now Playing" screen to turn shuffle on or off instead of having to go into the settings menu.

who buys a phone for the camera. On mine the novelty of a camera wore out in about 3 minutes when I realized I never need to take pictures with my phone especially since I have a real camera.

yea, iPhone owners have the worst inferiority complex ...

pirana6, I actually do use the camera on my phone. It's only 2mp, but I often find myself wishing I had my camera on me. So to have a decent one on my phone, it helps.
