What the hell does corrupted packet flow mean? Someone?

After i play about 2-3 maps on one server i get kicked by punkbuster WTF?????

Anyone else getting this lately?

well, I get the same lately, and not only that, also some handling, shaking etc which I have no clue what means! It all just started suddenly, once it is error with PnkbstrA, then PnbstrB etc. he only way I can play now is by disabling Firewall. I have also manually updated PB and reinstalled BF2 for some 3 times, nothing helps

Ya, happened to me twice this weekend, went away with a PB-update. Both times. I swear, it was up to date, goddamit.

Btw, what's the deal with PnkbstrA being an active process all the time?
I need around tree fiddy.

Think it was mentioned earlier in the temp forums that pb now scans your pc even while your not playing. if it does find a hack you can be banned from all pb enabled games.

We have moved part of PunkBuster's auto-update functionality into the PnkBstrA service. This service is used by PunkBuster to update other PunkBuster components in the background while users are playing our supported games with PunkBuster enabled. By moving this functionality and others into services and drivers, the part of PunkBuster that runs inside the game no longer needs Administrator rights.


Can I safely stop / disable / remove these new components when not playing games?

Yes. However, please keep in mind that the PnkBstrA service is designed to run all the time and auto start when the computer is booted. If you choose to alter this behavior manually (which is an advanced topic beyond the scope of this FAQ), keep in mind that in order to play on PunkBuster enabled servers going forward, PunkBuster will need unblocked communication with a running and working PnkBstrA service when the game is started. Otherwise, PunkBuster servers will kick from gameplay.

I've been getting this recently, well, past week or so. It seems to happen quite randomly. PB is up to date.

I'm getting "corrupted packet flow", "losing key packets" and some MD5 error messages. Can't remember what exactly.

Anyway, no idea how to fix it.

Pain in ze ass.

It's a signal between your comp and the server for like every 20seconds to test if the connection still works. Thus the name heartbeat.

I've noticed that it only happens to me when the map changes or reloads, If I exit compeletly out of the game then reload it, it'll work untill the map relaods.

Well 1 week and 4 days on and i haven't played much but PB must done the update for the corrupt packet flow thingy, haven't been kicked for about a week now.....Punkbuster high 5..........

I never get it. I have no firewall, anti-virus and anti-spyware disabled, updated PB. They released a new one a few days ago. I also have no background apps running.

I've seen lots of people get kicked for it. It's brutal when your chopper pilot goes without you knowing.

Well i just got this corrupt packet flow. Never had this kinda crap and i had a format c for like 2 months ago what means whole new bf2 reinstall.
I thought ima play a lil bit...but kool i cant. Fuck the person who made this happen!

make sure you disable your router firewall as well as your software firewall or set them both to allow BF2 and all of its components.

how great, yesterday night it was normally running, now tonight i get that corrupted packet flow messages and cant get in any servers without being kicked, i changed nothing to my anti-virus or router or firewall, thats retarted...

Oh! I am installing the game for the second time (2nd factory reset, damn you Vista.) and I am going to try a new thing. I saw somewhere that to fix this SAME problem in BF2142, you have to run patch 1.4 and then 1.5... so I am going to attempt this and see my sucess rates...

Hopefully this will change my mind about BF2. I mainly just bought this game because CSS and TF2 have too small of maps to snipe.

you only need to install patch 1.41 as of now, next best thing to do is manually update punkbuter from the punkbuster website, that willl fix most problems, as you see this thread is a year old.
