I think my join date qualifies me to speak my mind. At first when the site was small it was a group of pretty hardcore guys (and gals?). Word started to get out and then all of a sudden there are thousands of dolts running around posting like crazy (maybe they tally their posts themselves?) in about 50 different freakin forums. Very difficult to keep up with anything without stopping by 10 times a day at regular intervals.

I noticed a real drop in forum quality and comaraderie after the original karma system was instituted. Guys would answer another user's query, but then pay the price of getting flooded with negative karma from smacktards for no reason other than daring to post. Some quality people reacted by quitting the site, or cutting back on contributions. Chuy realized the mistake and nixed the negative karma, but I don't think we ever fully recovered.
Also, a small number of people have images in their signature that are sex. I don't need Mrs. O'Shea or a co-worker walking by and thinking I'm looking at porn, so I've had to click the option where signatures are not displayed. This hasn't "ruined" BF2s forums for people like me, but it means we can't fully appreciate the personalities here, because some people make some great signatures about themselves or BF2, and we miss out on them. (N.B. I see that the O.P. has an image in his sig which would be NSFW, and he is a mod, so I know this aspect of forums is not about to change, but I mention it anyway.)

There has been a spread of the acceptance of unfair gamesmanship in BF2 on these forums in the last year. I could be wrong, but I perceive that many players here think that it's ok to ruin the game for others through hacks or glitches.
