Ok well this morning i just installed them, cause i hadn't had them for a while. Anyway i join a server and just as I'm about to kill someone Punkbuster gives me an error about "ignoring queries" i figured that there was a problem so i went to a different server and hit the console, and over and over it was giving me this message about "punkbuster O/s exception " something or other. Then i got kicked for "no packet flow"

So does anyone know this problem? Or how to fix it?

What OS are you using?  Vista? That was the error I was getting in Vista.  If so, then you have to run the game with admin checked off.

Yes im running vista, and i've had this problem before but i fixed it ( i was also using leetkyles localization files at the time)

im going to try reinstalling patch 1.41, and also try what you said.


Edit: if i check off admin i immediately get O/S privileges errors

are you saying that i have to right click "run as admin" every time?

Edit #2: after i did the "run as admin" it gave me a brandnew error which occured further in the game than the others:

You might not be running services that are necessary to run punkbuster

punkbstra.exe and punkbstrb.exe


vista is a pain in the ass with battlefield

make sure you have all the right patches

if reinstall and deleting all of the local files didnt help, then I am going to have to do a little more research into this.




from reading your 1st post again and seeing the error code then I know its punkbuster having issues.  It is something about the punkbuster services not running.  Download the punkbuster client and do a manual update.  This should solve the problem.
