I don't see anything wrong with carrying something like that. It comes in handy more than one might expect. However, I don't think I'd ever carry a larger knife with me. It's just asking for trouble round where I live.
Nah....never saw a use for one.liquidat0r wrote:

Personally I reckon this would make a handy defense implement. And i doubt it's illegal (it's just a cigarette lighter, after all )
That quotation applies well to a society of gentlemen. Our society, however, is one of drug addicts and assorted criminals with little respect for human life. It doesn't work like that here.SenorToenails wrote:

For example, DC doesn't allow non-law enforcement civilians to have handguns anywhere within the city limits, and yet, DC has one of the highest murder rates in the country. Baltimore (the murder capital of the U.S.) is right next door too.
By contrast, many areas of Texas are heavily armed but have significantly lower murder rates.
Guns don't necessarily equal less safety, and honestly, why would you find yourself in many fights anyway? You don't seem like the aggressive type.

Besides, I don't care whether or not you're polite. Just as long as you don't shoot/stab/blow me up.

I turned up to a fatal stabbing and the person was stabbed with their own knife. A knife won't stop you from being outnumbered. Something you might want to think about.
Holy crap I just got a very eerie sense of De Ja Vu, like I've seen this exact post in this exact thread done at the exact time before.liquidat0r wrote:
