Hi, I unistalled bf2 about 3 months ago, I just now re-installed it and now when I press Play BF2, the screen goes black then grey then black again then goes to destop, I dont have any viruses or even virus protection, my firewall is allowing it, I dont know whats going on.

Any help would be great!

1. Patch the game with 1.41

2. Dont click on the "play bf2 online now", but the "bf2" shortcut.

are you all patched up... and have you tried running in windowed mode...?   Window mode... right click on BF2 icon... go down to properties
"C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\BF2.exe" +menu 1 +fullscreen 1     .....  change the 1 at the end to a 0  ... then yor game will run in windowed mode and you can see if an error pops up...   to go back to fullscreen... change the 0 back to a 1

and what are your system specs?

Hey guys thanx for the fast responce. My comp is fairly good

Windows XP
Pen 4
1 GB of RAM
2.59 GHz

Is that okay?
