i have the g15 and i only use the LCD for watching the time and for bf2, search the web for programs its full of them, you can put almost anything on that LCD screen.
and macro's, don't use them in bf2 macro's are for lame guys that don't know how to play, i hate macro users.

They are really only good if your playing an RPG like WoW or your doing alot of copy and paste work..
Theres alot of apps for the LCD though..
I use the BF2 one, Clock, Countdown Timer, Media Display, Performance Monitor, SirReals App, Winamp App, Fraps App, Xfire App.. There are tons you can download..

Apart from the rFactor plugin (which is useless unless you play rFactor) - the only "aftermarket" plugin I use is Sir Real's LCD - it is the best! As for macros, I don't have much set up except for some BF2 keys and a perform command on IRC.
