ok i have a headset with a mic that works just fine. i can use it in counter-strike and it works like a charm. but when i try to use it in BF2 i does not work for some odd reason. i tried using that voice set up thing and it does not work. can any of you guys help me, its really irritating.
is this for voip or ts/vent?
make sure you have VOIP enabled in your audio options...
yes i do have voip enabled and yes its not working for voip but it does work on vent/ts

Umm... I think you mean you don't have a sound card. Every personal computer has a motherboard. Every one. But no, you don't need a sound card to make it work. Just plug the mic into the pink port on the front or back of your computer.T.Cullen wrote:

yeah i ment the sound card lol. yeah i tried that and it still didnt work. but i plan on buying a so und card today anyways, and if that doesnt work EA has to get the stuff together and make a patch to fix this issue.

i had some similiar problems with the mike,i uninstalled bf2 and reinstalled it again.it worked for me
ive got a friend of mine that uses a logitech webcam as a mic,and he can use VOIP without a problem,i have the same cam,but cant use VOIP...anny suggestions?

On some BF2 servers VoIP isn't working although it's enabled.
EDIT: I think it's a bug or something that VoIP isn't working on some servers.
