I remember now a Senator (whose name escapes me) that once said "old people should know when to die", because he was speaking about social security. That Senator is older now, and I would believe that he doesn't hold the same opinion of the elderly that he once did.
My point is this - all you little kiddies teeny-bopping around and saying that people 19+ who video game have no life, you will grow up some day. When you hit 18, 19, 20 years old, let's see if you put down the keyboard or the controller.

Playing video games or pc games should be considered a hobby and not a life. However, if gaming is your life, then your a looser. Simple

at 19, i was chasing girls, getting drunk and rocking, not playing videogames all day.
now at 38, i play BF2 like 2-2 1/2 hours a day, i have a job, wife and kids...i have a life.
People who play 8+ hours a day should really reconsider if thats how they want to spend their life.
People below 19 that play that much are going to have a lot of problems to socialize, meaning, getting a life.

I don't live with my parents, I do have a girl (she likes gaming too), and I don't spend all my time on the computer (that's where the girl comes in, for you youngsters who don't know and never will).

BF2 has been out for 6 months thats only 180 days yet you have 235 hours on the clock? Thats a lot more than 1 hrs gaming a day (thats assuming you've never had a day off, played offline, played any other game, gone on holiday)

Personally, I use games as a study break. Although I've played a lot in my day, and probably haven't partied as much as most, thats ok, since in 4 months time I get a couple letters added to the front of my name, Dr. Hell, maybe more people should play games......
I'm 24 and work as a trauma RN at the local hospital. After a 16-hour shift of managing idiots that insist on geting themselves hurt, even though there's a million reasons not to (jaded, yes), playing BF2 is a great cool-down. Especially when there's nothing but crap on TV.

I'm 20, I play bf2 enough to say i play an average of at least an hour a day. I work at home. Live in an apartment, I look after my sick uncle. I smoke mass amounts of weed...and so does he. Being over 19 and playing pc games has nothing to do with wether you "have no life" or not. Have you seen the shit on TV? That junk makes me sick..the amount of reality T.V now is retarded... Do people over the age of 19 that play video games have a life? Yes they do and the quality of that life is for their enjoyment alone, not the approval of Sgt.Gene or anyone. If working 9 hrs a day and playing BF2 11 hrs after that is how you want to spend your time, then go for it. It's your life, live it however you choose, regardless of what the Sgt. Gene's in the world have to say about it. Just because a lifestyle choice isn't popular, doesn’t mean it isn't right for the person that is living it.

I don't understand why everyone has to incorporate "i do a shitload of weed" or "I drink myself stupid" into their incorporation of what the good life is. Personally, I don't smoke and although a lot of my college buddies get shit faced every weekend, I don't. My g/f's mom was an alcoholic and my g/f lost her childhood because of it; beer has made my father fat and cigarettes nearly killed him. I find that by not pissing my money away on smokes or alcohol I generally have more free time to fuck around. And, since most of TV shows are horrible atrocities to television, I occupy myself by playing BF2.

Good God Thank you! finally a serious post. i'm 19 have basically a full time job i work at 4 am, so i get evenings off, most friends are off at school, i go out, i play sports go to movies, applied to the iarforce am earing my coomercial pilots license, play video gmaes yes i have had BF2 since july, played it for only about 80 hours so i don't spend ALL my time playing it but is it fun? yes!ThomasMorgan wrote:

Anyone under 19 has no right to open their pre-teen little mouths on the basis that they have NO idea what it's like to be our age, where we have every idea what it's like to be young. It's pathetic how you kiddos can disregard every intelligent point made in this thread by saying things such as you're childish because you game, or you should have other interests. Let me let you in on a secret - if everyone age 19+ decided to stop buying and playing video games, you teen kids would be SCREWED. The game industry would focus all it's attention into getting us back - maybe that's why video games lately have been getting more and more violent? Again, I'll bring up the example of Grand Theft Auto San Andreas gettin pulled from stores and slapped as Mature (which means you kiddos cant buy it without mommy and her drivers license) because of the sex scene in it. Do you think if they were marketing this to kids they'd throw in a sex scene? I think not - it's a market tactic in order to get the older generation in there.
