Genius is probably right, it's a St. Andrews (haha, my name) Cross Spider.

Looks nothing like the st andrews cross spider. Try again. Also I live in south florida not australia or those other places it says in the link.

It actually looked like it was silver from the top view. Thats why I found it so wierd.

I'm pretty sure it's going to be from the Argiope genus, a little because of this:

The picture on wiki kind of looks like your picture, just slightly less silverish. It could be a totally new species, but still part of the the genus.
