yeah im thinking you need to use those for a dedicated flight sim. you will still be out flown by kiddies using $40 sticks and keyboard mouse in bf2. very nice set, too nice for bf2 flying.

I have the exact same setup.
I only use the joystick part of it though. I fly with joystick on my right hand and keyboard on my left hand. The pedals I can't get them to stay, and I'm too lazy to fix that.

I've got a Thrustmaster HOTAS stick and throttle ... they're supposed to be the best you can get (and cost me about £150) .... complete crap for BF2 / 2142.... they're now gathering dust and I'm using a £40 Saitek .... much better.

The twisty stick makes all the difference but I guess if I added pedals to the Thrustmaster (WTF did they get that name from??) it could work better.

BTW, I'm still a shit pilot, just slightly less shit with the Saitek ;-)

Have the same, less the foot rudders. To those who say you pay to much for gaming(toys), only say that cause they can't afford it. MY computer is set up like a cockpit. Makes it a hell of alot of fun to play.

The pedals does not have anything to do with the throttle. They control sideways motion. Which means i don have to twist the stick left or right when i want to circle strafe.
