Some people are mad at this. I can see both sides of the argument. It is not like gay people are going to attack the children. But I also see the other side as well. Some people pay a shitload of money to bring their family to watch a game, not gay pride celebration.

If it's anything like the crap "gay pride" I've seen, it's TOTALLY unacceptable. Fat people running around naked with hardons throwin confetti in the air is NOT something I'd want MY kids to se.

Ahem... It's usually a good idea to find out what events are going on at a given place -- especially if you're paying good money for it.

I can see why some people got offended, but they DID buy the tickets. Let the buyer beware.

What if you bought it before the season began? I have seen schedules where it shows the kids giveaways, but they fail to annotate "gay day."

As long as you dont let your kids play games or watch movies thats an acceptable side to hold. Why I think that is because if you let your kids play games with violence and dont let them see the smallest glimpse of anything sexual you would be a total hypocrite as far as the upraising of your kids goes.

Yesterday the San Diego Padre's baseball team went ahead with a controversial game night that saw the pro-homosexual "Pride Night at PETCO Park" coincide with the advertised handing out of free hats to children under 14 years of age.

I can see the cover of the program now...

"Floppy hats with the "Swingin' Friar" embossed were given away to all children 14 and younger."
It seems a little over the top for me. Just let the kids watch the game ffs.

Agreed. I don't have a problem with gay people being gay. What I don't like is all this new fashion where it's so cool to be gay and scream it to everyone in the face. Just be gay, marry whoever you like, but don't make big public demonstrations of that. Much less when kids are there.

Very true... American culture is rather dysfunctional in how we consider sex and nudity worse than violence. If I had kids, I'd rather they watch porn than become addicted to violent media. Granted, I'd keep both porn and violent materials away from them until they were like 14 or 15.

I don't see it that way. They seem more concerned with making being openly gay more acceptable. Some people really are born gay.

Granted, I'd assume most of sexuality is determined by a combination of genetics and life experiences.
