Hi guys,hope you can help me with this one:according to what I've read once someone has 20.000 points and all basic badges gets the Master Gunnery Sergeant rank.I was missing the Basic Aviator badge,which I received earlier.I have all the badges,a couple of Expert ones and the rest are Basic and Veteran.Any idea why am I still a Master Sergeant?Please have a look at my stats and tell me what you think the problem is.Thanx.
You need to get the badges before you get promoted.

I'm glad i've got all my badges out the way, so i don't have to do them all at the last minute.. I wonder what higher ranks might require? Medals? Ribbons? Expert Badges? Number of Gold stars? Who knows.

I am having the same problems. I have every basic badge, some veteran, over 30k points and no First Sergeant. Although, I am missing some ribbons.....it does not say they are required.....could I be missing something....Please, please help!

u need all the combat badges BEFORE the promotion... thats it.
in some cases the following happens: u try to get the basic knife combat badge. u already have more than 50 global knife kills. u get 7 knife kills IAR and u get the veteran knife combat badge at the drop of a hat. formally u also got the basic, but the system doesnt care and u dont get the promotion (ive heard it from some mates, without liability)...
concerning the higher ranks: it might be that EA plans officer ranks. when u look at blazin.uk's BFHQ, ull notice "Next Rank: rankname2". i would prefer the expert badges requirement, but im curious...

Okay, okay, let me see if I got this....I hit 20k but do not have all the badges yet. Then I aquire the last badge or two that is require for the First Sergeant after the 20k and I DO NOT get First Sergeant? And I will *not* see First Sergeant?

I'm sure they're aware of this but I think the Algorithim for fixing it is too complicated or too many changes to the actual code that they prefer not fixing it because in my opinion this isn't that bad.

It is bad, however, for all the gamers who are looking at the rank information online and going in the order of how the ranks are laid out. Common sense would dictate that you work toward a rank, achieve it, and then move on to the next one. Not so in this scenario. It just stinks for the folks who didn't know, and frankly, how would they? I wouldn't have known about this if it were not for it happening to one of my friends.

I mean, where is the difference between Master and 1st Sgt.? In the real MC there is none. Just other tasks.
And in the game? Ok, a 1st will become commander but... Ist it hard to become commander as a MSgt.?
A lot of the boys (and girls) out there have the rank of a Gunny or even a lower rank.
I still need two badges for 1stSgt. If I do not get them, shit happened, who cares? Go for Sgt.Maj.

Yeah, you had to have all those badges before you received your master sergant. The same thing happened to me. It is ok thou, I like have a more unique looking rank.

U cant get the First Sergeant rank u didnt get ur handgun badge till way after u had ur Master Sergeant U need to have them all before that.
