Alright, I've been thinking about making a tutorial for some time now. I tried to explain this as thoroughly as possible, and if anyone has any suggestions for improvement, or wants to point out that I was an idiot and forgot a part, please PM me and I'll update it.

Remember, this is a tutorial - try not doing it exactly as I show it, but vary and carry on the techniques when you make new sigs.

And one last thing - save this as a PNG file, so you don't lose your transparency.
This is my first tutorial out of many to come - when I have the free time

Can you rephrase that question?
I hope you mean this:

Go to the gradient tool and see the picture for explanation of the tabs. Double click on the opacity one (on the top) to adjust the opacity it runs to, or the color one to decide the color.

i do not understand the very last part of your tutorial where it talks about taking your brush set to black with opacity at 25 and layer mask...im so confused...here is what i have so far...

i also cant get the rounded edges like you have...i still have the background "box" goin on...what do i do?

if youre making reference to how the drop shadow looks i cant do anything about it. its fine as a still .png, but shadows and glows start to look funky when they are part of and animated gif. thats why i cant leave and transparency either, its just fills in white specks

You need to duplicate the folder, otherwise there will be no reflection, only a flipped text. Either right click and duplicate the folder, or hold down alt and drag it.

Wow I failed. Ctrl + N makes a new document, Ctrl + Shift + N makes a new layer.

I'm using paint. That's the only thing I have. I guess I need to DL something free like GIMP right? Paint takes forever and it's not even pretty, it's the basic of basics.
