MP5 with red-dot sight. Standard police issue because the 9mm round hits and penetrates but doesen't go THROUGH someone, won't kill a police officer if you miss, and because the MP5 is extremely accurate, yet still light and compact and reliable, so they won't miss through no fault of their own.
Standard anti-terrorist tactic seems to be flooding the streets with cops with guns. I was in London a few days after the 7/7 bombings and had a rather alarming moment of rounding a corner and ending up staring straight at a gun.
'Course, the rest of the day made up for that and the lack of tube service over half the network, as I spent it hanging out with a hot American chick.

They come in multiple variations.

Actually i was merely commenting on the fact that the person up above ^ said it didn't shoot bullets. I said "A gun which shoots bullets." he said "No it doesn't" then corrected my spelling. Seems to me like he's the smart ass-
