It's good that they're uncaps. That map is fucking huge. No one is going to sit in the main for 5 minutes doing nothing waiting on the slight chance that they'll get to defend it. Theres plenty of capturable flags out on the map to fight over anyways.

i like the uncaps. now the object of the map is no longer attempting to completely avoid the enemy until after youve put them at a massive unit disadvantage. im all for flanking, but one single good flank shouldnt win you the main advantage for a whole map. flanking should be used in individual battles. when teams flank for mains, while there CAN be good battles, there is typically no battle at all. how dumb is it that you can completely turn the tides of a BF2 match without even having to win a good battle? now that there are no stats we should all start playing some super-mod that includes features like PR where you can only attack flags in a specific order. PR just isnt the mod though since it seemed like full servers of people never knew how to play it.

Personally, i do think the posts should have been left open to attack, so that a crappy team can just be capped out rather than annihilated for 15 minutes, and kill off the server when the losing team all leave.
but hey, at least we know EA still pays some attention to the BF2 crowd...

I agree with Bennet on this one. Nobody ever complained about Mashtuur. But now with this map people had a chance to change it and they bitched and probably bitched some more to get the airbases NONCAPS. Half those people were probably jet whores.

I played the beta and noticed that everround I either got raped or spent most the time in a tank traveling not getting kills. Maybe it was a small server, but it was boring as hell even though we had 6-7 tanks coming to the airfield, me being one of them.
