The M4 is a beautiful weapon IMHO. It just looks MEAN, and high-tech. The AK-47 is admirable but come on, it looks like something out of Grandpa Dimitri's closet.
Its all well and good and cool and whatever but try firing an AK47 for a sustained amount of time. your shoulder is gonna be soar as fuck and chances are youve only been able to put one round in your target for every 6 you fire. that is not a rifleman's rifle. you are correct in your opinion.
my favorite:
rifle: remington 700 .308
handgun: springfield 1911 .45 acp
sub-machine gun: h&k mp5
light machinegun: m249 saw
crew served (heavy machinegun): mk-19 fully auto 40 mm grenade launcher

Well, it may be inaccurate and all... but it's like pop music, like Fergie or Britney Spears. Sure it's not too great, but it's sold en masse. I think that's part of the reason the AK makes it on a lot of "Top Guns" lists, simply because of how damn many there are. And how it's almost a symbol of weaponry.
finally somebody else who has used the SAW and likes it. We're a rare bunch.hate&discontent wrote:

I think H&K has really good and realiable handguns
as you said h&k is good and apparantly in airsoft world ...my mp5 is good too
Airsoft's a tad different from, erm, not air and not soft Get some ACUs.
ak-476t
The G3 (especially the A3 model) is my favorite of all time...if you couldn't tell by my sig.
Lol, I've never fired an actual gun, and even I'm laughing at the fact that you base your opinion off of airsoft.agent146 wrote:

Colt 1911 has ruled almost a century! Ps. the "M/31 Suomi" is the M/31 Suomi... Suomi means Finland in finnish, hence the name "suomikonepistooli" -> finsubmachinegun.

Thats our Gunner firing it, PPsH-43. It snarled like a mofo, and it shot the brass like 30ft into the air.
We also captured MP40, but the mag was jacked up, and a museum quality MP44, and 2 K 98s with Nazi markings still on them.

lol, crazy. Your gunner is a brave, brave man. I think the only other old timer rifle I came across was some bolt action lee-enfield or something.SgtHeihn wrote:

NUUU. sucks you have to destroy such old attifacts but rules are rules I guess. i had once recalled seeing a picture of a golden svd rifle being destroyed along with shit of other wooden svds, sad.SgtHeihn wrote:

EDIT:Chiyo-chan cries because expensive and old rifles are being needlessly destroyed.

We checked all the guns prior to fireing, the K 98s kicked like a mule, the MP44 had the wrong mag for it (stupid insurgent!)GunSlinger OIF II wrote:
