Looks like they went back to the original crosshair, but kept the strength/speed/armor symbols the same.

It's looking great though. Only a few minor changes I can see need to be fixed, and then the beta should be out soon. Along with the SP and MP demos.
The new vid and pics are friggin sweet!

Yup. I think they are beginning to move onto Beta stage, so be expecting a beta key giveaway probably mid July, early August I hope.

Read the rec. system specs, needs direct x 10. = Vista. Not sure if I want vista tbh. I'll wait and see once the release date hits if its worth it.

You can still play it with XP, but just with DX9.

Right, and there is a project to allow you to run your DX10 card on the XP operating system.

I'm not sure when the beta is coming out, but he are my assumptions:

Beta: Released maybe between July 10th and the 14th
Demos: Released sometime in late August

The Crytek site is having some troubles, so I keep checking there, hoping they are going to announce the beta release.
Also, I doubt you'll have to subscribe to FilePlanet for a beta key. They are being given out everywhere if you look hard enough. Gamespot will have some, maybe FileFront, and a bunch of other gaming sites.

I wish they will release the beta soon, so I would know whether I can run it or not, and if need a new PC or not. I don't mind running it on low settings as long as it works.

Yeah, that;s the exact same way I feel. I just want the beta out so I can know what my limits are.
I hear you can run it at 1024x768 on DX9 and it still looks fantastic. Actually, the latest video is at that resolution and I think it's on DX9 also. I really want this beta!

They say a 6600 can run Crysis on low, so don't expect any great settings

Well, you can also get pretty much any game file super fast. I usually get about 2mb a second from their mercury servers ^__^

I found some news at Crysis-Online about the delay of the Crysis Beta:

A person from http://www.i4u.com spoke to a Crytek employee at E3.
That employee told that Crysis may have some problems with Vista, under some hardware configurations,  so they have to
wait for release of new GPU drivers to work with them on game.
"Vista is not stable in some cases, connected with games, under some hardware configurations"-he said.

That person, from http://www.i4u.com, tells us that there are problems with
SLI 8800 Ultra under Vista: games unload after some time of playing.

Crytek has been waiting for more stable Vista GPU drivers, thats why game release
is being delayed (the same about MULTIPLAYER BETA).

Source: http://www.thevista.ru/    and    http://www.i4u.com
==================================================
Feldmarschal says:
You can count the source of information not truthful, but
this version of why Crysis release, and its MULTIPLAYER BETA release are being delayed, looks probable.
Vista is becoming more and more stable, GPUs are getting more and more stable drivers,
so there is a wish that Crysis will be released in 2007.

here are the unofficial system requirements

http://www.crysissector.com/info/systemrequirements.php

System Requirements

Crytek have not yet announced system requirements for Crysis.  However, the kind folks at Crysis-Online.com have crafted their own set of system requirements based on confirmed information, interviews, and videos.  These specs are not official and not confirmed and should strictly be used as a guideline.  We should have the official specs soon, so until then this should do.
Minimum Requirements
CPU: Athlon 64 3000+/Intel 2.8ghz
Graphics: Nvidia 6600 or ATI X1600 - Shader Model 2.0
RAM: 1GB
HDD: 6GB
Internet: 256k+
Optical Drive: DVD
Software: DX9 with Windows XP / Vista

Recommended Requirements
CPU: Dual-Core CPU (Athlon X2 / Pentium D / Core 2 Duo)
Graphics: Nvidia 7800GT or ATI X1800XL Pro (SM 3.0)
RAM: 1.5GB+
HDD: 6GB
Internet: 512k+ (128k+ upstream)
Optical Drive: DVD
Software: DX9 with Windows XP / Vista

I would also like to point out the following list of requirements.  It was recently stated in a GamesRadar preview that Cevat Yerli, Crytek CEO, said that Crysis will be able to run on Ultra High settings with the following specs.
Ultra High Requirements
CPU: E6600 Core 2 Duo
Graphics: Nvidia 8800GTS
RAM: 2GB
HDD: 6GB
Internet: 512k+ (128k+ upstream)
Optical Drive: DVD
Software: DX9 with Windows XP / Vista

This means that if you were to purchase a new CPU, graphics card, and RAM based on those specs before Crysis comes out, you will be looking at spending about $500, pending foreshadowed price drops on the CPU (estimated intel price slashes on July 22) and the graphics card (when the 8900 series is released sometime at the end of this year).

Okay, I am officially over Crysis. All this hype for what probably may or may not be a brilliant game...

Not buying into the hype, not overly impressed by graphics because I frankly don't care about what a game looks like, as long as I can tell what's going on and it's immersive (SystemShock2 is immersive, as is Half Life...)...

So I think I might pass on Crysis...
Whoa... Can't believe these forums are still kicking.

Lol, yeah until it hits a store near you, or once you read the first preview here saying it's kick-ass.

The graphics are really amazing... but the player animations look crappy...
And this game will need 8800gts or above... 6600 duo or quad core...2 gigs ram...
Time to build a new box... lol...   You can play it with lesser specs but low settings wont let you see the great graphic advancements... catch 22...
Love is the answer
