just my thought,bf2 went live for me in australia on 16/07/05 and it stopped updating 16/07/07 ........did someone have a contract and forgot to update it(gamespy)......
did ea give bf2 a life span of 2yrs...............
i think ea will keep game servers going but no scoring so we all go away cause this makes no money for them

anyway just my thoughts

are stats being cached on the game server? And if so, how large is the cache? Is there a chance that the cached game results will be sent (well... will explode) to EA/Gamespy/whatever, after the issue has been solved?

Looks like the monkeys are running EA. Top heavy with middle managers and I'm sure they have a "war room" to discuss what broke and who to blame. And if they have time left over, they might get a "tiger team" to fix/patch update or more likely "bounce" the box.

I just got this game less then a month ago when a couple new friends suggested it to me...now im busting my ass to get up to a decent rank so they stop calling me a noob and now everytime I get stats they arent recorded...so my issue is that for me, to just get into a game and its got issues like this, it becomes a total turn-off and makes me wish I didnt waste my money...I havent bought an EA game in years and now im thinking it'll be years b4 I get another.
