With a "wrong" example:

If you see Blizzard with WOW they do make patches nearly every 2nd month and they see that people play and play so they added new "levels" what you can rach. With this they make the users happy and they get millions of extra money coz more new and new people start the play this game. Remember that WOW has like over 8 million subscribers worldwide. If you are high enough in rank (like general) EA could ADD more new things what we mention here so new guns,maps,ranks,medals and fixings.
The players can support only with buying the boosters and SF nothing more and as we did it we want that EA is giving something to us.
I would like to see a more user and community friendly EA !

I play only euro servers and my stats updated the last 2 days.

An interesting discussion last night with some friends in vent revealed another possibility.  Rumor has it that Gamespy and EA are at the end of their contract, and this (stat outage) could be used by Gamespy as a negotiating tool in contract renegotiation.  I don't know the level of truth to this, but that would sure explain how a multi-million dollar company cannot fix such a simplistic issue over a period of ten days.

Of course, we all remember when 1.3 caused constant server crashes, and it took EA a month to fix that.

i think thats a bit far fetched and on a side note - the multi-million dollar company failed to fix simple issues every since they released battlefield

Well the one point I haven't seen here is the fact that you pay full price for a game but cannot use all the features in it. Not even in sp mode. You have to gain points by playing to gain full access to all unlocks. If they stop the "points" system, then what? Everybody get all unlocks and they abandon BF2? That would send a bad message to the 2142 players or future EA released mp games. I don't see why they would stop the points system but have a new beta map that is possibly ready.
IMHO they are having an issue that they cannot resolve yet.

I don't get it though. Why does every generic response from EA always state that more people are having their stats updated and only a select few are being affected by non-reporting, when everyone around me and everything I read says most people are not being updated? Not one person in my clan is having their stats updated, and we play on a lot of other severs, not just our own.
Then I read that it's not a server issue, but an issue with gamespy. Then EA says it is a server issue and your stats should update if you choose to play on another server that you normally don't play on. If that was the case ,EA, why not provide a list of servers that will report? Unless what you're stating is a crock of shit. I'll go with the latter.

stats was one of the advertised features of BF2 rocket scientist. Back to 'normal' would be functioning stats, even if you care about them or not. The point of this is that EA sold me a bill of good and is providing shitty support when their product is broken. So STFU and come back when you understand BF2 is NOT CS.
