A couple of nicks in the game MEANT AS JOKES!
The reason why our choice was to have German military grades and/or brances as nicks was actually because:
A) German is a very military language, many words just look and sound angry and organized!
B) German military grades and/or branches can be ridiculously long and/or virtually impossible to pronounce in under 3 sec. unless you are german or have studied the language for 2 or more years, hence, they can be considered funny!
Examples:
Sturmpanzerjager - Myself
Ubersturmbannfuhrer
Hauptsturmbannfuhrer
Ubergewehrkanzler
Rather that, than "You've been killed by -=SWE=-Olle85" or "You killed =FIN=Jaskakakkonen", also because I think people remember it better, when they get shot by Ubersturmbannfuhrer..
So keep looking, 'cause there aren't any nazis in this direction!

Since austria is also the country that banned small mustaches and recently jailed a british historian for 3 years on a charge of "denying the holocaust 19 years ago" I would suggest you people need to get a grip.
Mabey I should do a search for all jewish names on BF2 and demand they are banned in consideration of their on going genocide against the palestinians in the west bank and gaza strip? I wont, you know why?, because this crap does not belong in gaming......

And the SS were a military division in WW2, and they had some very nice panzer divisions, so i would use SS as a name in BF2 cause they were a very skilled military division so i see no porb with that. I also find it funny that people complaint that joking about the Holocaust/Nazi Germany is offensive, when people crack jokes about far worse things all the time and nobody cares because there's no stigma attached (e.g. jokes about Staling/USSR).
