Yore right with you law statement there. But as you know the law is involved AFTER the crime is comitted. Regardless if they are KKK members or nazis, these people are stupid enough to not care what punishment they recive for a crime. Ironically the 77 was made up by anti-facist christians as a reaction to 88. 77 would be GG = "Grüß Gott". Translated it would mean something like "Greetings to God".

I saw that Crusader agreed with a previous poster's comment that part of our cavalier attitude towards those names was due in part to cultural differences. And, I have seen many posters here stating things such as "it's a free world" or "its free speech". You are all bouncing around the major issue like a bunch of moths around a lightbulb.

I would assume that all the posters spouting off about free speech and a free world are mostly Americans (as am I). HELLO, McFLY!!! The whole world is not America. It is NOT a free world. Free spech is not a right that everyone in the world has. If it was, then we wouldn't have needed to put it into our constitution. Most Americans are not appreciative of the rights that we have because they do not know of the oppression that exists in other parts of the world. In America free speech is a tenet of our way of life. Free speech is protected - even speech that many or most would find offensive. Members of the KKK have the same right to express their views as anyone else has even though their views are deplorable.

That is why Crusader believes that these types of names should be banned, because in his country (and many others) they don't have free speech. yes, most people can say what they want about most subjects. But the government has placed restrictions on such things a nazi speech and other displays. They have lived with this their entire lives and is normal to them. And, since most good people agree that those things should be oppressed, they have no problem with it. But, it is censorship and that flies in the face with our way of life in America.

I'm not saying that one view is right or wrong. But the view are diametrically opposite - they cannot coexist. You either have free speech or you do not. There is no such thing as free speech, except XYZ.
