i don't know why people take things like this so seriously. If it REALLY worries you then look around you. There are hate crimes, murders, rapes, etc going on where you live. Don't worry about a "bad name" on an internet game. Do something constructive in your community, become a police officer, have a rally. Absent the vixens of Hustler, the smokin bunnies of Playboy, the bandwidth of Metallica, and the raunchiness of The Sex Pistols, the world would be. Unfortunatley with that priviledge comes the evils of our world such as people with poor humor skills, or the extreme, Nazi-fascists. However, becuase we, as a society choose freedom, we also except these things in our lives.
I dont know about you but I need the beauty, and becuase of the beauty, it only helps me kick ass in the world, and especially in BF2 a little bit more. So I say bring on Adolf shmuck, or 88-hole, or who ever. You lost in WW2, and your going to get a spanked in Karkand too.

He is posting as a European - I don't think any of us not from that area who did not experience it firsthand like they or their parents/grandparents did can try and belittle it. I can understand his concern on the name - it seems Europe takes that part of their recent history very seriously. Hell, it was only 60 years ago, that's not very long - and besides, I have heard that some European countries DO have an active neo-nazi movement. We, as far as I know, do not.
His suggestion was on the right to protest the names he finds offensive - it is up to the individual to do it or not.

Ok. Here is the point to explain how I came to this name: After playing the demo, I liked using tanks alot. I was the tank driver in the circle of my friednds that played bf2. I also play command & conquer and in the Gernerals issue of this game the standard tank is called crusader. I didn't intend to name myself after a swordswindging medieval fanatist. Im glad that at least one person is aware of the different handling of this topic between different continents. I dont know about the education in America or another continent different than europe about the second world war, but in my school we almost spent a year learning about this topic. As you can see we europeans (or at least austrias people) are not willing to take it as a fact of history instead of beeing aware of its influence in the modern times. Also i think the whole situation concerning right wing parties and active neonazism is totaly different in europe. Just to give an example there are right wing parties in austria, germany, france and italy. But these are the one I know about, not to mention how many there are left I dont know about. HJ-Hitler Jugend, the Hitler Youth. Initially rather harmless, later turning to paramilitary then fully military training. More evidence of Hitler's insantity.
Also, by the time the camps were discovered, the Third Reich was doomed to end anyways. The Eastern Front was beginning to steamroller on their way to Berlin, and Operation Overlord had worked beyond all expectations (though there were plenty of problems-the troops were not trained for hedgerow warfare, everything seemed to go wrong at Omaha, and the paradrops got horribly screwed up by the Army Air Force, as it was then known). You cannot say anything to the measure of "How would the Jews have reacted had the Christains, say, been massacred".
Stalin-suffice to say, although he was insane, he probably did what he thought was best for his country. Which unfortunately meant that he may well have killed more Russians than Hitler.
Oh, and don't believe what the Catholic Church is saying, during the Holocaust, those priests/nuns who helped Jews escape/hide was the minority, far from the Church's boasts. Some prominent Nazis were even given Vatican passports.
After that load, I will not, as a Jew (though probably the least religious one in the world), condone any people using nicknames which are directly related to Hitler, and those that killed him.
