hello everyone at bf2 forums
i just started playing bf2 (i don't play 2142 because : 1)my pc is crap and 2)dont like the sci-fi theme)
and i like it, especially flying in jets and think im going to specialize/practive (in) jets.
from what i read..for yets a joystick is a must.
the problem is that i only have some crapthing from the warehouse.
so , what would be a good joystick.
i think the budget is around 50-75 euro's
oh btw..if needed,i live in the netherlands(yes im a dutchie )

my second point is...my headset is good, and it served me well in css.
but it has oldered and lost his shine..so anyone know a good headset?
or...i do happen to have a philips FW m570.
do you/u think i could use the system of that radio for sound
(and yes, i am a computer newb xD)

thanks in advance

For a joystick, go for the Logitech 3D Extreme Pro.  It's definitely within your budget, but I'm an American bastard and I don't know any Dutch websites that sell joysticks.  It's got everything you'll need.

I can't help you with the headset though.  I can't even get mine to work right now...

I second Havok's recommendation of the Logitech 3D Extreme Pro.
For the headset, anything by Sennheiser is good - you'll have to check their selection out to find out which is best for you.

the joystick i use is a logitech wingman cordless joystick (as it is called on the sticker on its underneath) its a great wireless stick only 2 problems
1) it may be above your budget i don't know
2) its for right handed people only.

i looked up on the site, and saw they do sell it in the netherlands.
they sell it for 34,-
the thing is, they also sell a logitech for 45,- euro's
called, the logitech force 3d pro joystick

im not in money problems or anything so i don't care about the 10 euro difference
so is the force 3d much better (or worse?)or isn't it worth the 10 euro difference?

thanks

The Logitech Force joystick looks identical to the 3D Extreme one.  I'd go with the one I recommended earlier.  It's cheaper for more or less the same thing.

You don't necessarily need an joystick, I've always used mouse and keyboard.

well i'll probably but the 3d pro joystick, but i read some reviews that said that after a year orso the joystick "becomes uncontrollable".
im thinking they just weren't careful with it,but does anyone have this joystick for a year-longer then a year?
but for now i'll take you're words over theirs

i know i've had my freedom 2.4 for about 1.5 years now and it still works a treat with no breakages or even scratches.

I've had my Logitech Extreme 3D Pro Joystick for 1 year + maybe even 2 and it still works great. Keep in mind I don't fly jets a lot so I don't put as much wear and tear on it as some more experienced jet pilots.

It probably isn't. Although I have one and love it, it is spring based and can go off balance easily if used too much.
