I dont understand why i can only get max 5 kills per map with this stupid m95. With the SVD or the 88 one i can get up to 30 kill with per match. It makes the game frustrating when u have a guy in your crosshairs while in prone position and u cant hit him. ive been testing differnt placments of the person in the crosshairs and i still cant hit him. and when i do get a kill i do the same point in the crosshairs and its not the same. Anyone know how to work this damn thing or some kind of help is good.
Not the m95 its you
You need to let the gun rest for a minute.
Not aim and shoot.... but aim wait 2 seconds and than aim for the head/neck

It becomes easier when you're aiming at people who are engaged with other teammates as well.
Personally I think I'm coming to like the auto snipers better though.

The m95 has bullet drop what means that you need to aim a bit over the head depending on your distance to the target.
its indeed not the m95,
with the semic auto snipers u can go into a little close combat . the m95/m24 u must lie down and wait till the enemy passes. myself i can get up to 25 - 35 kills IAR with the bolt snipers. and lie down somewhere where there is a lot of action going around u will get some lonely sheep to kill there

I second that.Ub3r-ElitE wrote:

But anyway the M24 owns the M95 - at least in the game - accuracy wise. If you're not hunting chopper crews you don't need it.
The SVD and the Type 88 are best for mid-range sniping.
well in 1.2 their accuracy will be increased so lets what i would change it for sniper
It said accuracy would be "modified" not necicarrily improved*ToRRo*cT| wrote:

i wish there was another unlock for the sniper kit with the SF expansion. i still have one unlock left and won't choose anything until either a new sniper kit is released or the next expansion is released.
You can also hunt HMMVW drivers, got one last night with a snap shot through the glass after shooting his gunner. BTW I am not that good just lucky, but it seems you get more kills with the M95 when engaging vehicles.IC_Draconis wrote:

If you have the patience of a saint, then you will find that you can shoot helicopter pilots as well through the glass shields either in their front or, from the glass at their feet. this is a good tactic if the helicopter is hovering over a flag or is trying to repair itself as a heli pad. Even better if there are a number of passengers in it as they end up falling from the sky VERY quickly caged in a metal coffin. btw you dont get kills for them (unless you blew the heli up), but they all either suicide ( -4 points ) or the helicopter pilot takes them all as teamkills ( -8 points per passenger ). An actual example could be a helicopter pilot in a blackhawk with 5 passengers. Thats a total of 5 x -8 = -40 to his score. LOL.sleepy127 wrote:

Please note though that this does not always work for some reason. Sometimes it comes up as [Killed] or Player[is no more].
Interesting nonetheless.
I got a heli pilot the other day and his copilot took over and killed me. I have also blew one up with 6 rounds and got me two kills and the satisfaction of killing a spawn camper.<DG>Horus247 wrote:

You can get the kills if you shoot at the vehicle before it crashes and explodes. As long as the yellow hash marks from hitting it show up you are damaging it (even with a pistol or assault rifle.)<DG>Horus247 wrote:

i only snipe i used to play a little spec ops but now i snipe exclusivly and I only use the m95. I have not registered ANY noticable bullet drop with the m95. But i have with all others the accuracy is the same as the m24 and since the last patch the hitboxes have been corected and register much better i get head shots about half the time. Shoting through glass is priceless aswell as being able to take the final shot into a veicle and get the kill. the m95 and m24 both have to settle pop shots are very hard i do agree that setting the cross hair on the tip top of the head is your safest bet though.
i unlocked the new sniper and i had to shoot someone in the head 3 times for them to die...in other words, the snipers suck

its not the gun , its u , i get more then 15 kills with the m95
yea im not that great with the sniper i must admit..more of a machine gun person
i actually prefere th m24 over the m95 as it is more accurate ( check its stats ) and the sight bar is also thiner making it easier to aim. i no th m95 shoots through windows and such but there is hardly ever a staionary hummer or chopper and u can shoot people out of the chinese transports with any sniper because they dont even have windows. But that just my opionion. i must say that sniping people out of choppers is very entertaining. u can just imagine someguy who has finally got to fly the chopper swearing at his computer as he watches the chopper through the wrods "You were killed, 15 seconds to sporn" i did this twice in a row when someone landed the transport chopper in our base, the driver in the head and then the other idiot jumped in the drivers seat and started to take of. He didn't last very long. any way that was a bit of topic but i prefere the m24 over M95
Look, I only play Strike at karkand, prettym uch.
If USMC: Use M24
If MEC: Use M95
If China: Try to switch to USMC, their weapons suck

i prefer m24 on gulf of oman and stalement. i use m95 on Wake , kark, and sharqi
i use m95 all the way except on on "no heli maps"
if nobody noticed. w/ all the guns there's bullet drop, but if you're shooting at close range with the assult rifles or even medium range it makes no difference. but if you try and pop a guy w/ even the Ak47 and aim for the head on a stationary target from just inside you're field of view (at 100%) the bullets drop towards their chest. the same concept applies for the rifles and snipers aswell. the only major difference is that because the M95 is a .50 cal gun, it is more powerful and has less bullet drop at the same range as the M24.
M95 is loud as hell u might as well tell every 1 where u at i prefer M24 way more, but some days u just gotta try both they both have strengths its just what works auto snipers suk might as well use the medic sf gun, and M95 isnt great for lining up head shots but seems to me i get alot more 1 shot kills in the torso for some reason, sniping all the way

I don't think this can be proven one way or the other, but I'm fairly certain bullet drop does NOT exist. I can center the crosshairs of the sniper rifle directly on an enemy forehead at the very limits of my seeing range and get a headshot just the same as if they were nearby. Same while sniping with the L85.=Ska[M]=Jack Chaos wrote:

Bullet deviation does exist however, but that works in any direction. If I have a gun centered on an enemy, I'm just as likely to have the bullet stray high or to the side as is likely to go low.
Again, I don't think this can be "proven" one way or another, but I have yet to recreate any kind of bullet drop.
