the future of Bf2 and the battlefield genre:
What is Bf2's future and the battlefield games to come after it. Well thats a question that every Bf2 player has always asked themselves. yes there is 2142 which is no suprise does not have the popularity or the orginality of the vanilla that we all come to love and play.
from the day i signed up to take my rifle, gun, and grenades almost 2 years ago to the day i retired as a first Lt. almost a year ago, i would be a NOOB if i were to say things are different if not more of a negative feel of the game.
Bf2 has pretty much revolutinized if not resurrected the term Online FPS. it is the game in my opinion that has already surpassed the sucess of Counterstrike source. It is the game that has allowed me to quit World Of warcraft almost 2 years ago, boy do i regret playing that game.
No one can underestimate nor undermine the initial sucess of Bf2. But almost everyone knows one universal truth: the game has a disfigured face, caused by immature players, bad programming from your neighborhood DICE/EA, the absurd and immature administrators who kick and ban people for no valid reason whatsoever. I wish i can speak more highly about this game but unfortunately i cant help but explain my fustrations through words and ideas.
My best friend , played this game, after all i got him to play the game. we both had loads of fun whether we were on the same team or him being the chinese and me being the US . he used to play in a server clan called ROX, not anymore due to the hypocrisy of the administrators that i have seen myself. adminstrator just kicks and bans people for baseraping, yet he has his j-10 and baserapes himself. then i play in a Special Forces server where i C4red a tank and i was kicked from the server because " you cant use C4 in our server nor use it on another tank." My friend called me and told me of the insane shit that happened to him for two weeks in that server, he tried other servers, and the retardedness never ever stopped. I bought Him Battlefield 2 and the SF XP for christmas, went to his house only to see that game collecting dust. He stopped playing around the time i retired from Playing Bf2 for 8 hours a day. and yes he was a suprerb J-10 Pilot until some dickwad put a bullet to his head with an m95 saying "that plane is mine u bitch ass noob"
My best friend played it for barely 5 months only to put it down never to play it again, he stopped at first sergent. i dont blame him at all. i did the same thing too , me playing longer than he did. he told me two things : BF2 is a well conceived game with superb ideas but shitty programming, and secondly BF2 players were good and helpful to winning to a certain point until everone started doing what NOOBS and morons do on a normal basis. See my point people........
Then i got banned from a A2G ( addicted to games ) clan becuase i got accused of hacking by an administrator. Well i had 50 kills and 20 deaths with a spec ops kit with no vehicle use at all..... is that hacking? you decide
you might be saying to yourself after reading this: wahhh wahhhh another baby crying about how bad the game is. My answer to you is this, I am not crying, im telling your stupid asses whats going on with a game you spent $50.00 or whatever pounds it cost you ( for all you UK dudes out there). let me ask you this, what good is $50.00 when you get shit in return, wouldnt that piss you off?
How is a game like this that was on the front cover of every major gaming magazine in summer 2004 that once had a strong fanbase to only have a lot haters and put down by people in the thousands in less than a year. Bf 2 is a game , its like a bright glowing star that just exploded into a supernova only to be a dark void .
The bad programming especially MR. CTD patch 1.3 , the teamgod.net morons who claim that they have hacked the holy crap of Bf2 , yes Godjoey and GOdkevin were the two morons who did that kind of thing along with their tarded members. i did not want to believe it at all at the time i played Bf2, but all of what i described right now were nothing but "signs of things to come." People say it never happened in terms of teamgod's antics, im telling you it has......
A while back, i went to play Battlefield 2142 in another friend's house. i played it for about a week and ill tell you this, it does not have the originality, nor lasting appeal of BF2 when it first came out.
People like Bushviper or Teflonsean, or Blazin uk who have not done any action or have done reduced playing Bf2 , why, not because they have every damn award in the game, they are great players that i know, i played against viper eons ago. they lost respect and are upset of the players who care more about their e-penis or their stupid ass awards rather than playing.
i used to see for the past year and a half at least 2-3 people buying a BF2 game at a local gamestore, now i never see anyone . and yet yesterday i see people buying Warcraft III or Starcraft or Diablo II, anyone can tell me whats wrong with this picture.
I did one thing , i broke my own word and played Bf2 / SF XP a week ago to see what has happened. Took me a few min to download the 1.41 patch. I played the game and boy i was soo dismayed, pissed and angry. things are even shittier than it was when i retired. first i joined a warlord map, shot someone in the back only for him to jump in the air , spin around and dolphin dive and next thing you know im dead. then i took a flag only to get artilleried badly and next thing you know, another artiller strike by my commander ,exactly a second after the artillery strike. in other words i got hit by two artiller strikes by my commander... HAXXSSSS
then i try to get a tank , only to get shot by a DAO-12 , and i see a text message " thats my tank you NOOOOB, get the Fuck out ."
so i preserved my sanity and did the only thing i know how to do, UNINSTALL AND SEAL MY GAME never to play it again..
SO how does the future of Battlefield look......pretty grim and quite frankly i dont see DICE making another game like this ever again.... i think the game is done and feels like a worn out chewing gum ..... DICE and all those swedish bastards who work for them can go straight to hell...
I know this thread is too long, but its my last thread to this website, im sorry but i made a promise i would not have anything to do with battlefield ever again. I dont want to hear whats going on, nor ever speak of this game ever again nor contribute to the threads.....
