Today in the news here i sweden its says on every channel that two robbers attacked a armored car and took some money but then when the robbers escaped a police car came by, then they shoot a few rounds at the polices and escaped. Nobody was hurt wich is good. The national SWAT team joined the chase and so on.
But it is so hyped this thing, that it makes me wonder, is it very rare that criminals fires at the police?
How is it in other countries? Must be the first time in a year this happens here?
Do we here live in the past and think that when the police comes al criminals will give up without a fight.

Police over here tend to shoot people without guns. Like the guy who had a table leg in his bag, which they thought was a shotgun (wtf?) and that Brazilian John Menendez guy and some guys who had no guns yet they shot in an anti-terrorist raid (whatever happened to those guys, were they frickin terrorists or not?)

In other words, the police tend to help the real criminals more than they help the normals.

What is screwed up in the US is that you can buy a .50 cal at a gun shop and mount on top of your car at 18 but in order to buy a 9 mm handgun you have to be 21??? Just because it can concealed

The one man who was shot in the anti-terror raid was hit by an accidental discharge as he rushed out of a room in his house and banged into the police officer. They were all later released I believe, but IIRC he was later arrested on child pornographic charges...

In the USA, when the police come the criminals fight harder. I read a story about a man a while back who had 3 rifles, a large number of handguns, and some automatic weapons in his apartment and when the police came he barricaded himself in for hours and injured some of the police officers. Not only do the criminals here shoot back, they have better guns, and a lot of them have body armor. I don't agree that guns should be banned in the USA, but I do agree that there should be a much more in depth crimal background check for somebody to be able to buy them.

amen to that...anything after ten yards on full auto just isnt accurate.....at least with a rifle and a 5.56. it differs for sub guns, for obvious reasons......but you know all this.
