you might have saved it incorrectly but from that SS it seems you got it right. Make sure that you're also saving it as english.utxt, and not english.utxt.txt (which happens if you don't choose "all file types")

mine had people commenting on it so i thought it could be used as proof but then again they could always be randomly asking about orange text...

No, I don't specifically need to be in a clan, but it would require communication between two people on the same server and who can send emails to each other - the most likely way for this to happen is between two people in the same clan. 2. Anyone can write anything they want in their OP, that doesn't make it true.
The best way to prove that this definiately does work, is as I've already stated several times, for two people (most probably in a clan (and one of whom needs to have changed his *dead* text)) to connect to the same server, and to take screenshots showing the exact same modified *dead* text.
If no-one can be arsed to that, that's fine with me. I'll just file this away amongst the many other things that are cool if they do indeed work but of which I have no definitive proof either way.

The only way to prove 100% that it works is, as I've said, to post two screenys taken by two different people showing the same altered text. It's that simple. If other players were not able to see other peoples text, you will only be able to see 1 set of dead messages on a screen, because you would only see your own. However, in the screenshots provided, it shows 2 sets of dead messages on a screen.... how can that be you wonder.
