i'm sure this doesn't show for everyone on the server.when you have it changed everyone that talks when they're dead has big orange text.sadly it's just for the person who has the different localization files.

They do for the *DEAD* text, which changes depending on what language option you choose when installing bf2. This is why you see certain players with words other than 'dead' next to their name.
For example, Kraut players will have *TOT*, Frogs will have *MORT*, Poles *MARTWY*, *MUERTO* for Spaniards and so on.

btw the orange text does work like I said, I've seen players with this way before I ever touched my localization file.

Your file is messed up, revert to your default one and just make the changes from the OP.
