Terrible movie.
Plot was completely illogical disjointed and stupid. The whole beginning with the hangings and the song was irrelevant to the whole movie. Calypso had no impact in the movie even though most of the actions revolved around that plot which never eventuated to anything except the stupid abyss ship battle at the end.
There were some amusing parts in scenes, like the frozen toe, the monkey in the cannon, the parrot etc. But as a whole, it was a comedy which wasn't funny, In fact the funniest thing the was when a Chick yelled out 'I Love you Harry Potter', in the pre movie trailers. The Special effects were over done, fake and just added to the cheapness feeling of the movie. It lacked any kind of substance and seemed like that they just had to throw everything and anything in to wow the audience instead of actually making a good movie.
Kiera Knightly becoming captain and then king was, not only predictable but also filled with stereotypical 'women heroism' Bullshit, added with the stereotypical emotional, inspirational speech left you cringing at the thoughtless script writing.
I was truly disappointed and see this akin to the matrix. 1 was brilliant, revolutionary and had a real imaginative script. 2 got worse, and 3 was terrible with just, putting as much crap in as possible to please an ignorant mob. It comes down to greed, the sequels are just thrown together in a short a time as possible for the sheer fact it will sell, not to make another good movie.
I'll give it 2/10 and that is purely for Johnny Depps once again well performed representation of Captain jack Sparrow. The rest of the movie lacked anything remotely awe inspiring.
