ok i just got bf2 and i went to bigpond and downloaded the 1.41 patch i open it install it and i open bf2 and it says i still using 1.29 :S what is wrong with this i restarted my computer installed patch again and still wont work!

oh and its Battlefield 2 Deluxe Edition ^+^

1.29 isn't even a valid patchnumber so you can't be running that... are you sure that's the real name of th patch, or just the code that says it (there is a difference between the two). If you find around 800+ active servers, you patched correctly

If you look at the bottom of the screen at the login screen you will see the build number of your current install of Battlefield, this is different to the version of the patch applied.
For example, I am patched up to 1.41 for sure, but the build number is 1.1.2965-797.0

Apply the 1.41 patch to be sure, or just try and join ranked EA official servers as it is just now to check you are running the most current patch.
