I know this aint the first thread in the world to criticize the BF2 server browser, but god damnit EA better do something about it now!

The whole day today I was unable to retrieve a server list... even with all the checkmarks off in the filter settings... This is just so ridiculous. This has got to be the worst handling of Online game service ever.

DOES EA REALLY GIVE A S**T? We already bought the game, so it's probably not their problem anymore... with every new bug fix, 3 more come along with the update...

Now I'm off to their support center to spam them

It's frustrating as fuck.. that's for sure. and the problem has exsisted since the release! WTF? I often wonder how people even connect to servers.. ASE or friends? what if you don't have either? I'm not saying i don't .. but shit.. someone must have one hell of a time connecting to servers if the fucking list disappears every 5 minutes.
Up until the last patch the "Play Now" feature didn't work... and even now it still takes 10 minutes to find a server (assuming it's not EMPTY when you join...)

But hey... isn't the Flashbang just fan fucking tastic? Maybe that's why i can't see any fucking servers in the list...

Lol, the BF2:SF filters don't even work, like ever. Not to mention when BF2 server browser works, half the time it can't be anything explicit, like the actual map name, instead its gotta be "k" for "karkand".

Oh, and theres millions of these threads, might want to consiter deleting it.

ea is very lame for perpetuating the use of gamespy which is a total piece of shit ..besides the fact that it doesnt even work half the time and the other half works shitty .. if you install the gamespy program it comes with some handy spyware ..if ea gave a shit about its consumer it would not help infect peoples computer and handle the aspect of server browser themselves instead of trying to save money by having someone else handle it..

Yeah, I hate that GameSpy shit... Remember when BF2 came out and GameSpy reviewed it? Didn't mention a single flaw in the game... lol.. talk about conflict of interest!

There are certain combinations of filters that don’t work together, i.e. "populated" wont work with "64 player maps only", and some filters require you un-tick all map sizes before they work.
Usually when you make a filter change you need to click update twice as well.
Oh and if you scroll down then refresh the server list, quite often it shows blank, you just need to scroll up again (even if it says its at the top it often isn’t).
I know all the working combinations and how to get round them but don’t have time to list them, just fiddle with it until it works

man gamearena, and internode (aussie servers i think) there is only 2 internodes and 1 gamearena what the fuck is going on, does anyone now or is it a major fuck up from EA, is there a new patch or something???

Same here. I've already figured out the combinations.

Anyway I usually put servers to Favourites so I don't need to search for other ones.

just click ranked an nothing else... thats should work somehow.. O.o

got 3500 server last night with that after ticking all map sizes it were 2800.... where the hell did the other 700 servers gone O.o its just like... nah today u wont play... every refresh i made there were less servers.. after 1 hour there only where 160 left O.o

but i still could join my favs even if they didnt show up
