I started using it for rapidshare links that are split into multiple parts, but I noticed that for normal downloads my speeds went through the roof: through IE, I would get 200KB/s from a site, using IDM I got 1 MB/sec
I even do those speedtest things and it says my down speed is about 1300kb/s.
Yet I only get 160kb/s.

Currently have a bandwidth of 5.2 Mbps download/1 Mbps upload...wish my upload was a bit more though. Sucks for dedicated servers in certain games. Will be upgrading to a 10 Meg soon though hopefully...
