Basically, it doesn't work anymore. I haven't changed anything! I uninstalled then reinstalled BF2 and it worked for like 1 round. I turn VOIP on, put 'transmit' and 'receive' to 100% then click apply. I then click say BFHQ, video options, singleplayer etc etc,  and then when i go back on to audio options VOIP is now switched off and 'transmit' and 'receive' are back to 0%.

I've also been into BF2 through Program Files and adjusted my mic through that but sometimes it work wells and sometimes it hardly detects me talking. :S

Please help

2 problems I had with VOIP were:
  • Firewall, either disable it or make VOIP servers an exception.
  • Set your sound acceleration to basic. Go to start -> run -> type 'dxdiag' -> switch to sound tab and select 'basic acceleration'

Had this problem too...  Check sound acceleration like above said.   Also check for audio driver updates.  Had mine set to download automatically and it updated to something that wasnt compatiable.  Had to restore to a previous version.
