to be honest no games in CS/doom/whatever really stick out at me, but these weapons really do/did make a strong impression on me

oh, and how can you call mario kart a fps?

if we extend this to "weapons in all games" then you can't ignore:

Lightning in Mario Kart
A Siege Tank's cannon in StarCraft
Your Fist from Full Throttle (so much more than a weapon...)
and
Staff of Apocalypse (hacked, but who cares) from Diablo 1

They used the red shell in the vid...so the blue ones better that what i was trying to get at

He meant the blue shell isn't in an FPS. It's in a side-scroller or whatever Mario is classed as.

Can we skip this like serioulsy if you watch the vid it they rate the red shell #2 their talking about fps and i guess mario kart also.

Nah. There are much better weapons, in my opinion.
Tactical 12 guage, SBP90 (both timesplitters 2), the dragon, the devestator, the RCP120 (perfect dark), RCP90 (goldeneye), the monkey gun (timesplitters 3).....

In that list, I was only familiar with the Rail Gun (Quake), BFG and Chainsaw (Doom), Red Shell (Mario Kart) and of course, THE GRAVITY GUN! My list would be:

1. Gravity / Physics Gun - Half Life 2
2. Crossbow - Half Life 2
3. Rail Gun - Quake III Arena
4. Desert Eagle - Counter-Strike: Source (1.6 also)
5. AWP - Counter-Strike: Source (1.6 also)
6. AK47 - Counter-Strike: Source
7. Red Shell - Mariokart
8. AK101 - Battlefield 2
9. Krylov - Battlefield 2142
10. Flare Gun - The Ship

i dont care how many guns you come up with... the arsenal in Unreal Tourny has the best guns without question...  redeemer, missle pod, that damn blue gun, flak cannon, impact hammer, god they are all ungodly, but the redeemer in the ultimate wapon in any game without question...  steer that bad boy around for a minute or 2 and then pinpoint someone out...  the excessively large blast zone makes for a comic view on maps like 2 towers

The BFG10K from Quake 2 should be on the list instead of the BFG9K from Doom IMO.

In Quake 2 it shot a huge green laser ball that fired small laser beams in all directions, damaging everything in it's way devastatingly and upon impact killing anything but the toughest of enemies. (Tanks, bosses and the Makron)

  • Farsight - Perfect Dark. I cant believe this wasnt in that top 10. This thing shot through any # of walls, and tracked people across the map. Just fire and they're dead Could do with this for killing glitchers in BF2...

The awp i really think is #1 just by it's influence and sheer power.  1 hit kills and just the fact that many cs players literally fear it.
