And the overwhelming conclusion is that settings work totally differently for different internet connections. Supposedly thats what matters most, high quality internet with low packet loss. It sounds like settings are very specific to connection and that they can only do so much.

Ive tried playing with all different type of configs and fuck its boring when it really doesn't work. Now I just play with default, problem about ESL is that everyone tweaks which is kind of a bitch because of the amount of dust you hit.

So...your idea of how the game is meant to be played is shooting people and them not dying? Ok...

Some people, like myself, had horrible rego (two kills per clip MAX) and after i did some tweaking people die when i shoot them with the allotted amount of bullets. Also, I tried Nero's usersettings. Worked better then any config i've had. Thanks for posting.

No, my idea of the game is how it is for me.

I don't get any problems at all at the moment, the game is stable, fun, and i am getting pretty good at it (by my standards), and so i don't want to change it.

I wasn't saying that it is the same for everyone- i know for a fact that it won't be, but for me, I am happy with playing BF2 how i am currently.

Where is this information located again? under teh My Documents BF2 folder or C: Drive BF2 folder? What con file is it in? I don't have a 'usersettings.con' file

It's in mods\bf2\Settings.

I've been messing with my usersettings for a few months and it's about the same as what nero has. I did notice that overall my movement didn't register as well as it did with the default settings, but my shots did hit more often, so it's a bit of a tradeoff.

Well I used it a bit this arvo, and I noticed that more or my shots were hitting, just not as well as the ones in the vid. Need to tweak it a little.

You cannot have 1 modded usersettings file for everyone.

Every person will have different settings, depending on their connection speed/distance from ISP/distance from game server any many factors. It would take years to go through every number to find the perfect setting for you.

I have looked at both those vids and many others, and I swear everytime I shot my gun be it AK101/M16...I may as we be shooting a 120mm cannon, the X-hairs spray out so far its not even funny and the recoil of the gun is all over the place.... in short when I play it never looks like any of the vids Ive seen... any ideas ?

I agree my crosshair moves much more then what I'm seeing in that vid, whether on full auto, burst or single shot. Also that vid isnt current 1.41 patch because you cant shoot while in the air anymore.

I may try some tweaking however, nothing is worst then jumping someone from behind you have the perfect line-up and you get nothing, then the SOB does some funky spinning jump turn lands prone and beheads you with the first damn bullet.

Could someone be kind enough to post what each of those settings mean? I really hate to signup for thier forums just to get that info.

My bad, I didn't realise that. I guess I assumed that since you couldn't jump and shoot you wouldn't be able to while falling from a building.

I've played with this guy a bit, he's pretty good.
