Vista.fart
Considering most people need at least a gig of RAM to run Vista smoothly, it would run like trash, I running XP on 128 right this moment and theres no way this is "normal" speed...
Ur running 128MB RAM?? dude get like 2x512 or something. I havent EVER had a PC with less than 256MBr2zoo wrote:

Umm...run 2000. xp wont be very fun either. f*ck throw the computer out the top story window, it will be even faster
I wouldn't recommend having 128mb RAM on Vista... even if it is Vista Basic.
Vista Basic is shit anyway.
Vista Basic is shit anyway.
If it's vista basic and you run old skool style (turn off the new interface funkyness), it might just about run okayish, from what I know of vista (which is very very little).
Vista Basic doesn't have any of the sexy interface (Aero). It just looks like Windows Classic -> It not worth the upgradeScorpion0x17 wrote:

i wouldnt even run XP on 128mb, my current pc uses 250mb just doing nothing.

On Vista Business, Running relatively idle (well.. msn, and a few FF Tabs), I am at 10% CPU, 75% RAM, and using 753mb of Memory.

Vista uses 500 mb idle, what do you think what happens when you run vista on 128 mb ram?russ)=spetsnaz wrote:

Vista refuses to install on anything less than 256MB of ram if memory serves correctly. Using vlite and creating a custom Vista install dvd allows you to modify that minimum ram requirement I believe. (I've been experimenting with vlite today)
However, Vista will hit virtual memory hard even with 256MB of ram let alone 128MB. So my advice is, don't do it.

yeah before i installed vista i put in two 512 mb sticks. some guy was gonna throw that computer away and when i took it from him it had winodws millenium or something. lol hooked up an illegal copy of windows xp on it cand nothing worked.. thats why i upgraded it to vista.
i have vista now its SHIT i havn't been able to play bf2 in a week. ive been to busy to go back to XP. i will soon tho.
The problem's not vista, it's you... I've been on vista since it got out and bf2 works just fine.Chodda wrote:

I wonder how this would be on the opposite end of the spectrum, Windows 3.0 with like 8GB of memory.
Windows 3.0 wouldn't even recognise 8GB of ram. However, on a modern PC, it would boot so fast you'd be in and using it before you've even switched the PC on!_j5689_ wrote:
