null vote, they wont take me.
I'm 5'7", 275 lbs...does that disqualify me?
maybe, im deaf in my right ear, so they want nothing to do with me.
I'm blind, so i cant fight anyways.
Yeah, I can see it now. 9/11 part deux happens, we blame it on a SMALL muslim country this time, like Qatar, bulldoze them, then my ass gets sent to Iraq for OPERATION STILL ENDURING FREEDOM. No thanks. I'm out.

I'm leaving for boot in August, so yeah.. volunteer.
I'm almost 25 and have a college degree.... if I'm about to be drafted, I'm enlisting in the air force.
Thanks for your service.acEofspadEs6313 wrote:

I am a Canadian but if canada ever wanted to draft I would be the first one there to volunteer, and if I could I would love to join the marines.

people say they'd die for their country...
I seriously wonder how true that is during the moment of your last breath?
(fuck war. i'd rather go to jail)

I'd rather die attempting to save the Marines I have to look after before my country.djphetal wrote:

I enlisted in part because of the first one. If there was a second one, I wouldn't even wait for my assigned ship date. I'd leave school now (I have the credits) and go off.
that is actually an excellent point.acEofspadEs6313 wrote:

+1 for making me think about it that way.
I would do the same.
Assuming that a country was responsible, that the act was without provocation or merit, and my country was sufficiently aggreived to declare war then yes I'd volunteer. I don't know where they'd put me though; partway thru computer science degree, some logistics experience, some ground crew experience, do RAM for fun and walk almost everywhere.

Refuse to go. Say no to those who want to send you to die for, let's be straight honest: economic interests.
Oil, guns... lobbys that run USA for a long time.
You are a great country, but do you really want to mark your presence im world history by making war?
What a lousy excuse to write history... not even original, and most provem, with some irony, to fail all the way.
Think of it... we'll be around shortly, enjoy life while you can. Love your family, don't moarn them. Have a drink and a booze with your friends: it's way better then to go to one's funeral.
It's my first "long post" here, just to say, love FPS games for a long time (Q3, UT, SH, BF2), but been a peace lover all my life.
Enjoy.
The draft is unconstitutional & I would win in court if they tried to draft me. I wouldn't be forced by any means, but I would gladly volunteer with pay. I have friends in the air force & that's where I would go if it came down to it.
