Hello,

Yes the good ole Internet Explorer I was wondering if anyone is having or knows of this problem

Basically when I click on a link to download a file sometimes I get the option come up to save the file if I click save it will either close that dialog box and do nothing or say my connection to the server has been reset

Doesn't happen everywhere, luckily I managed to click on the link to download 1.12 from EA Games Phew!

But virtually everything else it does and only seems to have suddenly started doing it even after I just re-formatted me PC yesterday

Snot good people

TIA

Crap....

If I could download it

Kiddin I know this but I wanted to sort it, wierd how it just happened re-installed IE but I know it does sux gay what they did with XP and IE it shouldn't be allowed.

I'm not sure if it seems to be executables or certain file types because I was able to download an .iso image by clicking on a link and it downloaded happily

Reinstalled IE? I didn't even know you could do that -- doesn't that assume you can uninstall it?

no you cant uninstall it, its part of windows... but yeas you can reinstall it over the top of an older or maybe broken copy.. just install firefox and use somethin like tweakui and remove the E icon from everywhere lol.. so u never see the evil thing again...

however if you think its certain file types then prehaps a firewall/virus scanner block or something of the sort is blocking the download of that file type?
