I couldn't believe my eyes. Suez and Shuiha and that in Conquest mode.
Wow. The only way to get me into a server like that would be having 5 buddies with me to do the air transport whoring thing. Otherwise, that sounds like the most boring combination of maps & game mode this game has to offer.
To me that is.

6 people waiting for one gunship, constantly teamkilling each other if no admin is present.
Wherever you go, shitloads of Motion Mines that make you regret you weren't coming on foot, especially if the server supports nub-friendly ff off for mines. 
If, however, you're on foot, you'll surely encounter a walker that rips your whole squad apart while taking a crap.
People driving APCs totally on their own, leaving a friendly squad at the flag right in the middle of nowhere.

Just to clarify this: the PAC hoover tank is my favorite vehicle of all vehicles that were ever used in any Battlefield game, closely followed by the speeder from NS. In general, vehicles in 2142 are cool. I love doing distance shots with the tank zoom function for example and the walkers are cooler than the average temperature in that game of course, too. I even enjoy the gunships and, with the right company, the air transports can be fun, too.
However, what I don't like is the teamkilling for the gunships or walkers, which seems to occur quite often, especially on those larger maps where tanks, APCs and transports are almost begging to be ripped apart.

Suez Canal isn't even that bad, it's Shuhia Taiba I can't stand. Travelling that map with any ground vehicle (not even thinking of walking) takes aeons.
Either way, it doesn't really bother me. 2142 lost its appeal to me long before my primary soldier got brig.gen. last year.

Beyond that, the fact that the broad masses like something isn't actually a positive sign... let me point to the old analogy of shit and and flies. "Nuff said."

Hm, I might give it a try then, depending on my ping.
While 150 is playable in BF2 (even at 64 size), it's unbearable in 2142.
