Now that we have hit the mark where over 23000 lucky individuals have reached the rank of General, don’t you think it time EA did something about the ranking system as even on a good day only around 15000 will play the game at the one time and I say good, as of checking at the moment there are only 9000 playing ( http://www.game-monitor.com/GameSearch/ … _2142.html ) compared to BF2 which has still over 15000 playing at the moment and on a good day will go well above 25000. Me myself have put down yes as I have stopped playing 2142 as there is nothing to aim for and a just bored of, it if there was another rank it might bring me to chase a while longer. As for the other three rank it impossible to know how to get but I have had friends and clan mates who have had the glitch on servers where they received all there badges, ribbons and medals again and were promoted to one of these ranks the following Monday. As for 2142 I have stopped playing it and returned to BF2, which is great, but Christ did I forget how fast and furious the fighting can be compared to 2142.

Same, Im bored with Battlefield 2142 now, especially after I went on a 1 week playing binge to see if I could get one of the last three ranks, I gained a little over 6000 global points that week and my rank didnt change.
The requirements for the top 3 ranks have been posted many times. Do a search.
Personally I could careless about rank or awards.
I enjoy playing that game and that's enough for me.

ive tried and tried to get the top ranks but to no joy, but must admit if i was not in a clan i would not be playing this, i would prob be playing bf2 again, as i still have ranks and syuff to do in that,.... and yes they do turn over each month, its the highest scoring players that get ranked up each month, there has been some weeks that i have done nothing but play, got well over 6000 but still didnt get ranked..

Ranks? How about adding Platinum badges? And besides rank, make a seperate ranking system per class.
Brig. Gen, Mst. Sgt Recon etc. Should give you alot more ranking up to do
And in my opinion BF2142 has a greater advantage over 2. You don't get spawn raped with bombers every .5 minutes.

I'd like to have new ranks and awards, but I suggest we won't see much of it because Dice is to lazy for (re-)programming.

To my mind the three top ranks shouldn't be given to glitchers but to good allrounders. Just as an example, not thought about it seriously:
- 20.000 kills, 20.000 team points, Meritorious Infantry Combat Medal
- 30.000 kills, 30.000 team points, 10.000 commander points, Infantry Combat of Merit Medal
- 40.000 kills, 40.000 team points, Meritorious Titan Medal, Meritorious Conquest Medal

Badges
I really would like to see the titanium badges! Although this would /should result in major changes to some of the existing awards (some golds are at titanium requirements allready)
Ribbons
Assault Commander Ribbon (25 hrs?)
and the wish for a changed WCR (no W/L anymore (forces cheating) but some other (really) high requirements instead)

50 hrs Assault mode or something like that (not as high as the two other mode medals due to the lack of maps)

seems that most of you are agreed with more ranks would be a great idea, great thinking on the in kit ranks
i think some new ranks would be a good idea.mabey if they release some new weopons with one of the future boosterpacks they could add them in for unlocking purpouses
