It was a big console thingy with gigantic paddle type controllers that hooked up to your TV and back then TV's had knobs on it to change the channel.

I think ours was the Sears version that came out in 1975 or so.

Tennis, it was around 1980. you had to plug the game handhelds directly into your television.
There was only a black screen with two moveable bars and an edgy ball :-)

First game -probably something called sorcerer or something for the Amstrad 6128 (128Kb of Power!  And a disk drive!  woot!), or maybe spitfire Ace or something on the Amstrad 464 (64Kb of power!  The awesome storage ability of a tape drive!).
First PC game - Jetfighter.  Hours of fun flying around the mountain and under the bridge.
