Fraps and Video Editing (Need Help)

Ok well I recorded my first movie thing with fraps... and I want to edit it.

1) What should I use for video compressing? (As you know fraps outputs HUGE video files)

3) My fraps recording didn't have any sound. Any guess why?

2) What program would I use to add music and edit out parts of the movie?

I appreciate any help.

i user super video converter, which is probably the free video converter that will compress it, and then you could use windows movie maker(free) or sony vegas(not free)

No sound? Check your mic volume...
