i was on ch-53's a lot. they are not just used for special things.
But it's the CH53 for special forces? And it would be too expensive to risk losing in average troop insertion?
Also what do you like better the CH46 or CH53 ? I think the CH53 looks sooo sexy!

Alot of you will be dissapointed with this game i can tell, i dont think many understand just what its going to play like. If you have played the original or even project reality, then it is that type of gameplay. Not BF2 style. Get shot twice your dead
Not really. I was being a smartass to USM m8.M.O.A.B wrote:

I hope they do proper body armor simulation. Like if you get hit in the hardplate of your vest you can take 5-6 shots even more. But one headshot is bye bye. That's the main thing I didn't like, in ArmA you could see their armor but it didn't do anything.Little BaBy JESUS wrote:

In ArmA, a headshot was a kill, with anything. A center torso shot (all those nasty arterys) was 1 shot kill, a stomach shot was 2. Leg shots would either make you walk slower or you'd have to crawl. As for arms you can't aim as well so it's pretty realistic but they should improve the damage/heal system alot I think.
What do you real Vets thing?
The damn timeshift. Anyways, enjoy it!Bradt3hleader wrote:

There's meant to be dismemberment in this one, probs why its being rated an 18 here. Limbs flying off and stuff. If its an 18 because of that as well, plus also for language like FC2, it must be pretty gory. After all CoD:WaW was only a 15 and that had heads and limbs flying off. One of the interviews stated that damage will be accurately represented on vehicles, buildings, the landscape and people for all of the different weapons, so I'd assume from that that if a big bomb goes off you're going to get messed up.Bradt3hleader wrote:

I can read, but reading and believing are two differen things. The CH53 is a hug target and it's expensive amirite? So I was curious to why they'd se that in regular troop insertion...Cybargs wrote:

To those who will be getting it on consoles:
Hi everyone,
I can confirm that there will be no mission editor for creating and swapping missions for console versions of the game.
The PC version however will have a mission editor allowing people to create their own missions. We'll bring you plenty of information on this feature as development progresses.
If this changes in any way I will of course let you know.
@ Henno - Isn't that kind of expected?

there were hinting at an editor for consoles for a few months, I didnt see this comming
Im still getting it and I hope it comes as DLC
Far Cry 2 could do it,
OPF Elite on the Xbox could do it (even though it was cut down)
Id expect OPF: DR to do it as well

Just out of curiousity, how does a complex editor like the one OFP sported work on a console with a controller? Far as I remember, there were plentyof parameters to be put in via keyboard.henno13 wrote:

CH53 is the only one still used now isn't it? The MH was pulled not that long ago, last year I think.usmarine wrote:

I mena input-wise. How do you give AI orders, set scripts, etc? CanĀ“t imagine how to do that with a controller.henno13 wrote:

It was shown in one of the videos. It looks like you hold a botton down and use the movement keys to manoeuver in a commo rose system like in BF2.
I hope it's better and a more logical and faster system then in ArmA.
