It's all fine and great when he drops because he has cover to go to. He was outisde a huge barn, so bascially he just lay down there, whilst I popped his head off.Flecco wrote:

You're still assuming that somehow, as with most games, he magically would know your position and immediately take cover accordingly.Zimmer wrote:

Whoa... Can't believe these forums are still kicking.
Every customer review I've read has pretty much stated the game has been dumbed down for consoles.
There is no dedicated server support so the MP is laggy and will probably be dead within a week. Tanks bounce off rocks. Driving any vehicle is incredibly stupid.
I was really looking forward to this too.

Then get it for PC?AussieReaper wrote:

I think you've misunderstood what I meant by "dumbed down for consoles".
I meant that as in, the entire game has been dumbed down to appeal to the console players, making the pc version poor.
There is no recoil on any of the guns, for example.
Consoles didn't kill PC gaming.
Game developers killed PC gaming. If they stopped committing design suicide and started catering to the audience again they'd start making money on PC again.

Um... There is a hell of a lot of recoil on the PC version.AussieReaper wrote:

I've just read the review for the game in PC Zone and they have given it 90% and have said it is better than Armed Assault 2(I haven't played it, so can't comment). I need a game to tied me over until Call of Duty 17 (or what ever number the modern warfare is) and STALKER CoP (the english version) appear. My question to you chaps is would you lot who have played it recommend it?
Just watched a trailer for it and it looks rather spiffing!

I think people are overlooking the fact that while the game is a mil-sim, its not meant to be the same as Arma, its meant to be a mix between Arma and the more usual FPS games.
I also hear the 'dumbed down' argument whenever a game previously just on PC goes onto a console, its like the stock complaint.
I'll play it myself before making any decisions, odds are I'll like it.

he was right though, there's practically no recoil
I've heard a number of times that things like the M-16 have practically no recoil in real life. I believe GS said that once. Besides everybody always complains when they put in substantial recoil, look at FC2, and COD doesn't exactly have a lot of it.
I think its ok. havent had much time to play it yet.
you can't look around in vehicles, your head is stuck looking straight ahead
yeah that does suck. I had a hard time w/ the controls, and the MP isnt exactly what i wa hoping? Open world my ass.. wheres the vehicles?? tanks? Helos??
OFP1 used to use the numpad keys to look left, right, up, down, diagonally. Did use the mouse but that used to interfere with the control of the vehicle.Miggle wrote:

so... how can i make this accept my joystick to fly? mouse+keyboard is fail flying
Where the F are the helos's? also, only two maps? I thought the MP was supposed to be one giant open world... my feelers are hurt over this!!!krazed wrote:

What an absolute waste of my time. A complete disappointment.
The only thing that this game has to do with OpFlash1 is the name...M.O.A.B wrote:
