I have just started to play BF2  serveral days ago and installed the 1.12 patch. Right now I have like 500+ points which I can see here, which puts me at Lance Corporal:

However, the BFHQ shows 0 global points, says that i am still a private, and doesnt show the 3 badges/2 medals I have earned. I am most concerned about my unlock. When am I supposed to get that?

During the round in which I was promoted, I got a in-game notification of the promotion from Pvt first class, so I dont know if the stats account forgot about recording or processing it. Is there some sort of test I can do to see what the problem is?

Any input is appreciated.

This will happen from time to time. Sometimes the connection to the BFHQ stats server doesn't connect, and the game defaults to what you are seeing. You could logout, then log back in, or restart the game. This may not help in every case. It just depends on if the stats server is busy.

I just looked up your rank status, and it's showing you're a Lance Corporal.

Tried logging out and logging in about 8 times. Then restarted the game a couple times. No luck.  My BFHQ stats havent updated since day 1 (4 days ago).

Maybe it's a firewall issue? You say you can login, yet when you go into BFHQ, your stats are zeroed. If you have a firewall running, make sure it allows all traffic to BF2Web.gamespy.com. That's the address that BFHQ uses to get it's stats from.

Firewalls, if you are using the Windows XP service pack 2, It won't make a difference if you make BF2 an exception, sp2 is not the best of firewall (actually, its crap) the best thing to do is completly  disable your firewalls, and download a incoming Monitor. The incoming monitor will show you whats coming in(duh, no shit[some ppl don't get it]) and who/what is trying to access your computer, so everyso often you will allow or disallow objects/querys.

Hopefully this helped, in terms of the prog I use I built it myself (still hav loads of bugs)

Just play. All your stats will catch up eventually. Oh, and as far as unlocks go, as soon as you make a rank, finish the round and then log out of the game completely. Wait for a bit (Sometimes I had to wait over and hour), and then log back in to the game. As soon as you're logged in, the rank dealy-thingy-bopper will pop up. You don't have to go into BFHQ to do it.
